Some of the challenges that may be encountered in implementing a County Integrated Development Plan include lack of technical know-how, political interference and limited funding. Delays are in most instances as a result of lack of coordination between departments. Issues such as insufficient data or changing priorities are also likely to be experienced during the execution of County Integrated Development Plan. Nonetheless, these challenges can be defeated by effective governance, participation of stakeholders, and effective monitoring. Dealing with such challenges will mean that projects are done in an efficient manner and benefits provided to the community as intended.
